A Little Something.

Roman Agee is a Vancouver-based, self-taught Photographer and Set designer. With a passion for film and over 15 years of experience in the film industry in various capacities, he currently practicing set design. It is this same desire, creating something where there once was nothing, that drew Roman to photography in the first place.

With African-American roots stemming from the Alabama south, but raised in the homogenized white of Vancouver Island, Roman’s exploration of his own identity has inspired him to highlight people on the margins and BIPOC communities. Through his lens, Roman strives to give an opaque sense of self to groups so often asked to erase parts of themselves; capturing images where nothing is pretty, but everything is beautiful.  

Roman’s points of interest are editorial, architectural, and fashion photography with a passion for conceptualizing and creative directing his images.
